Hi everyone.... Today its going to be a Wonderful and yummy dessert... Guess what..?? Its Brownie....!!!!! It's a perfect dessert with a simple recipe. You will need an electric mixer for making cakes but hand beater or fork should suffice for brownie.

Mostly people use square or rectangle baking trays for baking brownie. But I have tried out in circle tray and loaf pan. Whatever the shape of tray may be, brownies turn out awesome. Its just the baking timing that varies from 22-28 minutes.

Brownie's can be served with whipped cream, ice-cream or hot fudge.

Prep time: 15 mins    Cook time: 30 mins     Serves: 16

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup All purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Walnut (Optional)
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa powder
  • 1 cup Castor Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
Procedure

1. Grease and dust the baking pan. Preheat the oven at 350 degree F. (175 degree C)

2. Melt the butter. Let it cool.

3. Sieve all purpose flour and baking powder together.

4. Mix the walnuts gently into the flour.

5. Add cocoa powder to the butter and mix it well.

6. Mix the eggs into the cocoa mixture.

7. Mix the sugar nicely in the cocoa mixture.

8. Now mix flour mixture and cocoa mixture well.

9. Add vanilla extract.

10. Pour the batter into the baking tray.

11. Bake it for 22-28 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. (It took 23 minutes for me)

12. Let it cool. Cut into pieces and serve it.

  • Shelf life is 3 days in room temperature, 10 days if refrigerated.
  • Place parchment paper between brownies so that they don't stick together.
  • In place of walnut, you can use any nuts of your choice. (pecan, almond, cashew, pistachio, etc.)
  • If you do not like nuts, you can make brownies without any nuts. But do not use all nuts together.
