Hi all... Chicken Roast... Roast... Yeah, I know lot of people likes a dish when it has 'roast' on its name... And I am one among them... No one can resist this chicken roast recipe flavor and taste !!! It is such a simple recipe, that has no complications or heavy work to prepare.

For this recipe, I personally prefer chicken with bones. However the same can be done with boneless chicken as well.

Chicken roast can be served as appetizer or as a side with Biryani or even with white rice.

Roast !!!

Prep time: 5 mins    Cook time: 20 mins    Serves: 2

Ingredients
  • 1 lb Chicken (With bones)
  • 3/4 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • Turmeric Powder (Optional)
Procedure

1. Wash the chicken pieces nicely. (I always use some turmeric powder while washing chicken)

2. Heat a flat pan with oil.

3. Add the chicken pieces into the pan.

4. Add red chili powder, coriander powder and salt. SautĂ© for 2 minutes.

5. Add little water to the chicken.

6. Cover and cook chicken for 7-10 minutes in medium flame. In-between sautĂ© the chicken so that the masala does not get burnt.

7. Then keep on sautĂ©ing till the water is evaporated, chicken are softly cooked and the masala is well coated on chicken pieces in brown color.

8. Serve hot...Thats it. You can't believe it right. Yes. Its that simple... :)

  • Do not add more water to the chicken, then it is tough to get the final result.
  • Masala should turn brown but do not burn them.
